A 211 success story from Eastern Iowa
Though not our local 211, this story just demonstrates the good work that comes out of 211 and why supporting them is so essential to those needing resources.
Program manager Chris Juett shares a story about an individual who called 211 and had no electricity during a cold spell in September 2011. A 211 operator also learned that the person was behind on her rent. Operators worked with other agencies and the person to get the electricity back on and connected her with a rent assistance program.
